Accomodation

The PREMIUM KANGARLI & Boutique is located in the Sabayil district, near the sea, and offers a welcoming atmosphere with a garden, panoramic terrace, and shared lounge. The group will stay in a mixed dormitory with 10 beds, reserved exclusively for participants. The property offers free WiFi, a shared kitchen, and a bar, along with services such as airport transfers and a 24-hour reception.

  • Transportation: transfer to/from the airport, travel to and from Baku

PAYMENT TERMS

For short trips (1-4 nights), a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining 70% due 30 days before departure. If the booking is made within 30 days of departure, the full amount will be charged in a single payment.

For long trips (5-10 nights), a 20% deposit is due at booking, followed by a second payment of 40% 60 days before departure, and the final 40% balance 30 days before departure. If booked within 30 days of departure, the entire amount will be due as a single payment.

Payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer.

If minimum participation isn't met, the trip will be canceled, and you'll be fully refunded.

Our primary focus will be on COP29, where we will spend a significant portion of our time actively engaging in the sessions within the Green Zone.

This space will be the core of our days, offering us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in cutting-edge sustainability innovations and contribute directly to global climate discussions.

Cultural and historical explorations of Baku will complement our experience, allowing us to discover the beauty of the city when we are not attending COP29 events.

COP29 Green Zone Exploration: Climate Action and Engagement

During our time at COP29, a key focus will be the Green Zone, a vibrant space dedicated to climate innovation and public engagement. Spread across multiple days, our participation in the Green Zone will include:

  • Interactive Exhibits and Activations: Discover cutting-edge sustainable solutions and technologies through live demonstrations. These activations will showcase the latest advancements in climate action, offering hands-on opportunities to explore new ideas.
  • Expert-Led Discussions and Panels: Engage with renowned climate experts, innovators, and thought leaders during insightful talks. Topics will span crucial aspects of climate change mitigation, adaptation strategies, and sustainable best practices.
  • Concerts and Events: Enjoy cultural performances and concerts held within the Green Zone, promoting climate awareness through the arts. These events highlight the power of creativity in advocating for sustainability.
  • Innovative Research and Ideas: Explore research findings and ideas presented by leading scientists and innovators, addressing global climate challenges. Dive into thought-provoking sessions that highlight novel approaches to sustainability.
  • Debates and Climate Conversations: Participate in engaging debates on climate policies, technology, and climate justice. These sessions will foster an exchange of ideas that can inspire meaningful action.
  • Hybrid Engagement: The Green Zone will offer both in-person and virtual participation, encouraging broader global collaboration and knowledge-sharing on climate-related issues.

Baku Exploration: Culture, History, and Modern Wonders

When we’re not engaged in the COP29 Green Zone, our itinerary will allow for deep cultural and historical exploration of Baku:

  • Old City of Baku (Icherisheher): Wander the narrow, cobblestone streets of this UNESCO World Heritage site, exploring landmarks such as the Maiden Tower. Experience the rich tapestry of Baku’s ancient history and architecture.
  • Modern Baku: Visit the city's contemporary icons, such as the Flame Towers and Highland Park, offering breathtaking views of the city and the Caspian Sea.
  • Heydar Aliyev Center: Experience the stunning architecture of this modern landmark designed by Zaha Hadid, home to exhibitions that blend culture, history, and design.
  • Local Culture and Cuisine: Enjoy traditional Azerbaijani dinners at local restaurants, sampling the rich flavors of the region's cuisine. Stroll through Nizami Street and Fountain Square, two of Baku’s most vibrant areas filled with cafes, shops, and cultural spots.
  • Natural Wonders Outside Baku: On our full-day excursion, we’ll visit the Fire Temple of Ateshgah, the Mud Volcanoes, and Gobustan National Park, home to ancient rock carvings and stunning natural landscapes.

Andrea is an activist and strategist specializing in environmental and human sustainability. His journey began with school projects and field experiences, and he is now focused on impactful communication to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness about climate change. He has collaborated with organizations like Amnesty, FAO, and Will Media, and has been named a European Climate Pact Ambassador and UNESCO's "Voice of the Ocean."

Greta is an activist specializing in environmental and social sustainability, working at LifeGate Way where she develops innovation projects. Alongside her career, she uses her Instagram profile @greenonthebeam to raise awareness on environmental issues, sharing practical tips and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.
