Arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where you will need to pick a transfer that will take you to your hotel in Baku. The journey officially begins in the evening with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Here, Andrea Grieco will introduce the group and share the vision for the trip, setting the tone for a meaningful experience. After dinner, take a short walk along Baku’s famous Nizami Street, admiring its mix of Baroque and Neo-Renaissance architecture while getting a first taste of the city's charm.

Note: We recommend using the train or bus for transportation to and from the destination whenever possible.

Day 2 – First COP29 Sessions and Baku Old City

Your day begins with a dive straight into COP29. After breakfast, you’ll head to the conference center to attend the opening sessions, which will feature global leaders and innovators discussing key issues around climate change. In the afternoon, take a break from the intense discussions with a guided tour of Baku’s Old City, or Icherisheher, a historic enclave that dates back to the 12th century. Explore the Maiden Tower, wander through narrow cobbled streets, and soak up the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. End the day with dinner at a traditional restaurant, enjoying the flavors of Azerbaijan.

Day 3 – COP29 and Modern Baku

The morning will be dedicated to COP29, where you’ll attend panels focused on sustainable development and energy innovation. After an intellectually stimulating morning, the afternoon is reserved for a visit to one of Baku’s modern marvels—the Flame Towers. These iconic structures dominate the city’s skyline, symbolizing the fusion of ancient and new Baku. After exploring the towers, head up to Highland Park, where panoramic views of the city and the Caspian Sea await. As the sun sets, relax over dinner and exchange thoughts on the day’s events with fellow travelers.

Day 4 – Free Morning and Afternoon at COP29

After several busy days, the morning is yours to explore Baku at your own pace. Whether you prefer to stroll along the Caspian waterfront or visit the bustling shops along Fountain Square, Baku offers a mix of relaxation and excitement. After lunch, return to COP29 for more afternoon sessions, focusing on youth engagement and global climate policy. These sessions will allow you to dive deeper into the discussions, networking with international participants who share your passion for sustainability. End the day with another local dinner, reflecting on how these experiences are shaping your perspective.

Day 5 – COP29 Wrap-Up and Heydar Aliyev Center

On this final full day in Baku, you’ll participate in the closing sessions of COP29, absorbing key takeaways and discussing the way forward for climate action. After the conference, you’ll visit the Heydar Aliyev Center, an architectural masterpiece designed by the renowned Zaha Hadid. The flowing, organic curves of the building will leave you in awe as you explore its exhibitions on Azerbaijani culture and history. In the evening, gather for a celebratory farewell dinner, sharing your experiences and newfound inspirations with the group.
