Important info

The trip will be conducted in Italian, with some activities in English. Bring your curiosity and comfortable shoes—Vienna and its surroundings will surprise you with their beauty, in the relaxed and unique style of ORMA! Alice will travel by train, and anyone who wishes to join her is welcome to take the journey together, enjoying the scenery and the company. Be prepared to walk a lot, as we will explore the city on foot to uncover its most captivating corners. If anyone prefers to participate in certain activities in Vienna or Bratislava independently, they are free to do so, managing their own time outside and inside the group itinerary. Keep in mind that many places, the majority, are "cash only," so make sure to carry cash. Lunches and dinners will be decided on the go, as we explore the best vegan restaurants in the area. In the evening, depending on how we feel, we can head to bed or go out for a night in the city, leaving room for spontaneity!

  • Food: 6 Breakfast, 1 brunch.
  • Accomodation: 6 nights at 2-3 stars hotel/hostel.
  • Transportation: Public transport tickets and round-trip train ticket to Bratislava.
  • Activities: Entry to the Natural History Museum, the Museum of Technology and Wien Museum.
  • Other: Support from an ORMA coordinator throughout the entire trip.
  • Insurance: Medical and baggage insurance.

  • Food: Lunches and dinners, unless specified otherwise.
  • Accomodation: City tax.
  • Transporation: Transfer from/to station/airport. Flight from and to Vienna starting from €250.
  • Other: Trip cancellation insurance.
  • Anything not specified under "What's included".

Payment Terms

30% down payment at the time of booking and the remaining 70% due 30 days prior to departure.
If the booking is made within 30 days of departure, the full amount is due at checkout.
Bank transfers or credit cards can be used to make payments.

If minimum participation isn't met, the trip will be canceled, and you'll be fully refunded.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival and Royal Beginnings
Arrival in Vienna by lunchtime and check-in at the hotel. Meet with Alice and the group before heading out for a city tour to discover the vibrant heart of Viennese culture. The day concludes with a stroll through the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, admiring the magnificence of the structure from the outside and its lush greenery. During this visit, we will also be joined by an Italian who has been living in Vienna for 15 years, sharing stories and insights about the city.

Day 2: Sustainable Architecture and Natural Wonders
Explore the world of sustainable design and architecture with an (external) visit to the Hundertwasserhaus, designed by Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, an icon of creativity and environmental respect. In the afternoon, join Alice Pasqualato—an Italian living in Vienna and an expert in global policies against wildlife crimes—for a guided tour of the Natural History Museum. Her expertise will make the experience even more unique.


Day 3: Vienna’s Story
The morning starts with free time to explore Vienna: choose to wander through its elegant streets, visit one of its many historic cafés, or discover hidden corners with the group. For those who prefer a guided experience, optional activities will be available to deepen your understanding of the city.After lunch, dive into Vienna's history at the Wien Museum, a space that showcases the city’s cultural and historical roots through captivating and well-curated exhibitions. You’ll uncover how Vienna became the vibrant heart of European culture, with insights into its art, architecture, and everyday life throughout the centuries.

Day 4: Sustainable Urban Living
Start your day by exploring Vienna's advancements in energy and climate change at the Museum of Science and Technology, an inspiring space dedicated to innovation. Next, take a stroll through the vibrant neighborhood around the Spittelau waste incineration plant, where art and functionality merge seamlessly thanks to the work of artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
In the afternoon, head to Aspern Seestadt for a guided tour with a local resident to explore sustainable housing solutions and co-living projects, iconic examples of Vienna’s urban innovation. End the day at Karl Marx Hof, a striking example of social housing with significant architectural and cultural value.


Day 5: Day Trip to Bratislava
Spend the day exploring Bratislava, a short journey from Vienna. Stroll through its historic streets, admire its colorful architecture, and enjoy a blend of history, culture, and Slovakian hospitality.


Day 6: Between Tradition and Innovation
Start the day with a stroll through the scents and colors of Naschmarkt, Vienna’s most famous market, brimming with local products and international flavors. After exploring the market, treat yourself to a delicious vegan brunch at Vollpension, a unique spot where tradition meets modernity, run by grandmothers and grandfathers who craft homemade dishes with a contemporary twist.
In the afternoon, explore the city at your own pace or join group activities for more adventures: discover the liveliest neighborhoods, visit museums, or simply enjoy a walk through Vienna’s charming streets.


Day 7: Reflection and Farewell
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and a final gathering with Alice and the group. Reflect on your favorite moments, share stories, and leave with new perspectives, fresh inspiration, and maybe a few new friends. Say goodbye to Vienna, but take its lessons and memories with you wherever you go.
